The American Legion Post in Gahanna is pursuing a project to assist a group in purchasing a large number of backpacks & school materials for Elementary students.  Although the Post does not have large sums of money to donate, they have come up with a sizeable amount to donate for the backpacks.  But, they are asking for donations in order to place inside each of those backpacks a comic book about  Honoring the Flag, Pledge of Allegiance, Who our Veterans are, and Light of Liberty.  They are committed in doing this to show these Elementary students what it means to be an American, our duties and responsibilities and who our Veterans are and what they have done for our country. 

This is a very big project and will require nearly $500.00 to complete.  This Post does not have that kind of money and they are asking anyone who can see their way in doing so to please  donate thru Paypal to this venture.  Americanism in the schools is the best place to start and this is the chance to get it moving.  Any amount will help get them closer, but it is needed by 19 August 10.  You can either go to Paypal and donate to site@paypal.com or click on the word  DONATE.
NOVEMBER IS FAST APPROACHING!!  Absentee ballots will be mailed to all those requesting them, and this year promises to be a banner year for absentee ballots.  We need to let the voters know NOW who is running for office and that although we are not backing them, we support them.  The list below are the candidates running for Judicial Offices in Central Ohio.

Incumbents are indicated by their current title of Judge.  All others are candidates looking to either fill a vacancy or unseat an incumbent.  We need good, honest Judges who will use the Constitution, not be activist Judges and make their own laws.
