Legislative / Political information researchers, fact checkers, writers, to contribute to the website etc. If you have an interest in contributing, writing, researching, drawing cartoons, passing along any information you think will benefit the memers please send me an email

We are also interested in community education. This can be the political process, "How To" articles or information. Book reviews, Interesting facts current or historical. Programs in your area you can tell others about. Maybe you are interested in starting something in your area? Maybe you want to make a web based "class"? There are no limits to the possibilites. But we know that it is important we educate ourselves with the facts we need to be better informed and effective defenders of our liberties and freedoms.

Help with other web content - This could be being a forum moderator. Writer. sending in interesting things you find that would help other members. Maybe you can take a section or add a section to the web you want as your own project.

Even something as simple as contacting the regional 912 chapters or other projects and keeping us all up to date on plans and accomplishments. Maybe even branch out to other affiliated organizations and pass on information that will keep us informed and knowledgeable. Networking is vital.

There is so much we need to know and do the possibilities for volunteers are many. If you have a few hours a week or even a few hours everyday, all help is welcome. We are making a difference on the grassroots level. We've only just begun. We can not let our guard down again. We know the forces we face will not rest till they achieve their goals. We can not rest either. If you do not support this project , please join with someone in your community to help make a difference.

Fellow 912ers,

The State of Ohio is working on presenting to all of us a set of Constitutional changes, some of them appealing to us all and others not so appealing at all.  This time around, there are three (3) issues for Constitutional Change we are being asked to vote on.  While there is little time left to check out these issues I urge all of you to do the best you can in learning what the 3 issues are and to think very hard on them before you cast your ballot on November 3d.  Keep in mind that the actual wording of these issues are subject to change before them become the law of the state, and what you vote for may not be what you get.

Issue 1 -  is a bond issue that the state wants to pass so it can reward it's veterans with $150.00 for each month they served during the Persian Gulf War, Operation Iraqui Freedom, and now the Afghanistan conflict.  Many of those veterans may deserve and need this extra money, but would they actually get it after this issue is set to law in the Constitution of Ohio?  Some of our veterans have served in these areas for 24 months or more and would gain, in addition to the hazardous duty pay of $200 per month, and untaxable income for the entire period of time, $150 for every month spent there.  That could come to $3600,. or more for many, less for most.  I served in the Gulf War but I cannot in self conscience see the need for such a law, even though I could benefit from it.

Issue 2 - The State wants to set up a panel of czars here in Ohio to monitor and dictate how our farm and  livestock are managed, and be able to dictate conditions that would most likely bankrupt many of the farmers and livestock owners due to the strict regulations they would set up.  We need to tell the State to keep it's PETA where it belongs, and out of our affairs.

Issue 3 - To gamble or not to gamble.  This is an issue that is being fought by the Churches saying that casinos will bring prostitution, drugs and crime into the State.  Does that mean there isn't any of those things here now?  Then who are all those people in jail in Ohio right now?  What about the Bingo in all these Churches, is that immoral too?  If the people vote for it, majority rules, right?  Why should others be able to tell the
majority what to do, it's their decision.  After all
we're not a Communist country yet, are we?
I'd say vote the way your conscience tells you, and not the way someone else urges you to vote.  Just remember this - it's a change to the
Constitution of Ohio, and will take a 2/3ds vote to remove it from the Constitution if we ever want to change it back
